Max and I flew in from Canmore late last week and have had a lot of time to be with Mom and Dad over the weekend.
Mom is sleeping most of the time now, although she does waken to have brief conversations and to eat and drink a little bit. She can muster up a laugh and continues to crave her favourites - DQ, fresh cherries etc. Most of the day, she listens to music softly, listens to the Blue Jay game and/or sleeps.
We have her in a bed right next to the window, so she enjoys the bright lushness of springtime, with the windows open and a gentle breeze coming through.
Right now our goal is to keep her peaceful and treat her with dignity. With that in mind, we ask that if you want to visit her, please reach out to us first via emailing Dad. Alternately, you could send a letter or drop off a card, which we read to Mom and she really gets a lift from.
